Translate your livestock's movements into life-saving data.

Valkyrie enables proactive, 24/7 monitoring for your animals without constant human supervision. Built to be the first layer of security and preventative care for your livestock.

The Problem

No one's watching their animals 24/7.

Common illnesses like colic can plague your animals at any time. Early signs are subtle and often progress rapidly in the hours no one is watching: by the time symptoms are visible, the window for intervention is likely already closing.

If symptoms progress far enough, the cost – both to your animal and your operation – can be devastating.

Colic accounts for 28% of all horse deaths – more than any other single cause.

Veterinarians consistently cite early signs that appear hours before a crisis.

Surgical treatment can cost up to $15,000, with a 40% short-term mortality rate even after surgery.

Intelligent monitoring in every stall.

Get started with 3 easy steps.

Horse portrait

Step 1

Set up your camera

Valkyrie offers our own easy-to-use cameras that sync perfectly with the app. Simply connect to power and set it up so that the whole stall is in frame.

Step 2 — configure watch level

Step 2

Add your animals and configure your watch level

Onboard each of your desired stall animals to the Valkyrie app to view their live feed. Once onboarded, you can set up your Watch Level in Profile settings, which tell us how closely we should monitor each animal. The higher the level, the more sensitive Valkyrie will be to possible signs of illness, and the more alerts you will receive.

Step 3

Have eyes on your animals around the clock

Once onboarded, Valkyrie will be able to notify you on your livestock's status. Using computer vision and AI, we track your animals' body language and send alerts when anything looks wrong based off research-backed behavior models.

In the app, you can view all alerts by priority, resolve them when you've confirmed your animals are okay, and check in whenever you'd like. Each animal you onboard will have a dedicated profile, so you can view in-depth information about any one.

Step 3 — around-the-clock monitoring

The Problem

Behind our system

Valkyrie isn't guesswork or generic motion detection – our model is built on decades of behavioral research.

The Research

Grounded in veterinary literature.

The behavioral flags Valkyrie detects are drawn directly from peer-reviewed research documenting the clinical progression of colic and other livestock illnesses. Each flag maps to a documented stage of illness onset.

Common signs

Biting / kicking at stomach

Laying down for extended periods of time

Rolling

The Model

Grounded in veterinary literature.

We use a prompt-based vision language model (VLM) that analyses posture, movement, and behavioral patterns frame-by-frame. Unlike generic motion detectors, Valkyrie understands context, distinguishing normal nighttime restlessness from the repetitive, escalating movements that precede a crisis.

The Threshold

Tuned to your operation.

Alert thresholds are calibrated against clinical confidence levels, not arbitrary triggers. Your watch level setting maps how conservatively or aggressively our model flags behavior, so every alert carries a meaningful signal-to-noise ratio.

Low sensitivityHigh sensitivity

94% accuracy

Valkyrie is designed to be oversensitive to err on the side of caution. However, it should be noted that we are an added preventative layer on top of existing measures rather than a diagnosis.

Valkyrie uses AI to flag behavioral patterns that may indicate illness. Alerts are not a diagnosis and should not replace veterinary judgment. See full disclaimer.
